56. issue of Halkbilimi Periodical is out. .

Two new publications from HASDER

The 56th issue of Halkbilimi periodical, which has been published by HASDER since 1986, has hit the stands. This issue of the first and only periodical in the field of folklore  to be published by Turkish Cypriots has been dedicated to HASDER director İlker Özova, who passed away last year, and includes research articles by Ali Nesim, Eralp Adanır, Ejdan Sadrazam, Zekai Altan, Çağın Zort , Nurperi Özgener , Erdoğan Saraçoğlu , Mahmut İslamoğlu – Şevket Öznur, Nazım Beratlı , Tuncer Bağışkan and Selçuk Garanti, and various articles by Sevcan Ekrem, Kutlu Adalı, Engin Anıl and Fatma Kükrer, Hasan Abohorlu’s news reports.

Selçuk Garanti tarafından HASDER Kıbrıs Folklor Arşiv ve Kütüphanesi ‘nde iki yıl süren titiz  bir araştırma ve çalışma  sonucu hazırlanan The “Bibliography of Turkish Cypriot Authentic Folk Music”, prepared by Selçuk Garanti following a two-year intensive research and study in HASDER’s Cyprus Folklore Archive and Library, has been published with the support of the Department of Culture. The 72-page publication is an important resource for music researchers and is on sale together with the 56th  issue of Halkbilimi periodical.
